Nigerian singer-songwriter and entertainer Ebenezer Remilekun Aremu Olasupo Obey-Fabiyi was born on April 3, in Idogo, Ogun State, Nigeria.
He’s regarded as a Nigerian legendary juju musician, songwriter and entertainer whose influence sparked in the early 1960s and 1980s.
Ebenezer became a Nigerian prominent musician following his Yoruba folklore and social commentary.
His musical career began in Lagos where he played highlife bands. He eventually formed his music group called, The International Band in 1964. The band later evolved into the Inter Reformers Band.
Obey introduced moral values, and communal life and exemplified his lyrical wisdom in this track.
However, in the 1980s Obey moved from secular music to gospel ministry, dedicating himself to spreading Christian messages through music.
